Miya Townhouse by Reflections is designed as a private Kyoto residence, where contemporary living is thoughtfully integrated within the framework of a preserved machiya. Rather than recreating the past, the design respects its origins while embracing the comfort, openness and functionality of a modern home.

Arranged across two floors, the residence combines generous shared spaces with quiet areas for retreat. A double-height gallery enhances the sense of volume, while separate living rooms upstairs and downstairs provide flexibility for couples, families and longer stays.

Makha wood ceilings, granite flooring and piano lacquer cabinetry define a restrained material palette, complemented by bespoke furnishings and discreet technology. The result is an interior defined by clarity, balance and enduring craftsmanship.

A private outdoor Onsen, dedicated wine cellar and generous glazing complete the experience, filling the home with natural light and creating a residence equally suited to relaxing evenings, shared moments and discovering Kyoto at your own pace.
